Henderson requested a staff report at the June 9 meeting of council to look at “steps necessary for disabling the automated speed enforcement cameras between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. daily and provide a sample resolution.”
In his Aug. 11 report to council in response, Joe Reid, city director of Transportation and Operations, posited uniformity of camera operations is needed 24 hours a day to ensure full compliance to slow speeding motorists across the city.
