The Oregon State Beavers are adding one of the top pitchers in Oregon to their 2026 recruiting class.

Glencoe High School left-hander August Ware announced his commitment to OSU baseball on Sunday. Ware stands at 6-5, 225 pounds, and is rated the No. 1 left-handed pitcher in the state according to Baseball Northwest.

The Baseball Northwest website clocks Ware’s fastball between 88 and 89.7 miles per hour, his curveball spin rate at 1,815-1,945 revolutions per minute (RPM) and slider spin rate at 1,776-1,890 RPM.
