KENT, Wash. — If you're looking for a "Little Louisiana" in Western Washington, organizers of the Cajun and Creole Fest say you need to stop in Downtown Kent on Aug. 16.

The annual festival will feature authentic Louisiana cuisine, music, culture, and more.

The festival runs from 2 to 7 p.m. along Meeker Street in Kent on Saturday.

Aneel Robinson, the owner of Altha's Louisiana Cajun and Deli store on Meeker Street, joined KING 5 in the studio to talk about the authentic flavors of his home state.

Robinson said he knew it was important to open Altha's after moving to Washington several years ago. Many people told him they were looking for ingredients you can only find in New Orleans or other parts of Louisiana.
