PORTLAND, Ore. — A bicyclist was seriously injured when he was struck in a hit-and-run crash on the Morrison Bridge on Sunday morning, police said.
Portland police officers from Central Precinct and the Traffic Division responded at 8:29 a.m. to the crash involving a car and bicyclist midspan on the Morrison Bridge. The adult male bicyclist sustained serious injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).
The man's family told police he was on his way to the Providence Bridge Pedal event when he was hit, though he was not participating in the event at the time of the crash.
PPB said preliminary investigation suggests the cyclist was moving westbound on the Morrison Bridge in the left westbound lane when he was hit from behind by
