STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A series of thefts and robberies were reported across Staten Island during the week of July 21 through August 3, according to NYPD data.

While the borough has seen a decline in overall robberies this year, with a 5% drop compared to 2024 (178 vs. 188), the latest incidents highlight continued criminal activity in several neighborhoods, the police data shows.

Here’s a look at the reported incidents:

On July 21, at 2 p.m., a shoplifting turned robbery incident began near Victory Boulevard and Cebra Avenue in Tompkinsville.

On July 22, at 6 p.m., a carjacking was reported near South Avenue and Spencer Street in Chelsea.

On July 23, at 7 p.m., another shoplifting turned robbery incident occurred near Richmond Avenue and Ring Road in New Springville.
