SOMERSET, N.J. — Double-A Somerset manager Raul Domínguez smiled when asked what it was like to face the Mets ’ No. 3 prospect (Baseball America), Jonah Tong , last week.
“For me,” Domínguez said assuredly, “he’s a big league pitcher.”

On Tuesday, Tong held the Yankees’ Double-A affiliate scoreless on three hits and eight strikeouts over five innings.

But Domínguez speaks from experience. His team’s performance was actually an improvement from the last time they faced Tong, if you could believe it.
