A trendy sports car is 39 times more likely to be stolen than its more common vehicular counterparts, a report revealed.
The Highway Loss Data Institute revealed that the sleek, expensive Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is the vehicle most likely to be pilfered among automobiles produced between 2022 and 2024.
As for why? Well, Advance/SILive.com sister site AL.com said that this particular Chevrolet model “has on-board ports with vehicle data such as performance and fuel emissions, which is a particular vulnerability that makes them attractive to thieves.”
Pricey vehicles with kicking horsepower tend to be the jewels in a thief’s eye, AL.com reported. The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, in particular, has a starting price tag of around $72,100 and has 650 horsepower.
