Hamilton police are investigating after a high-end vehicle parked on a quiet residential street went up in flames early Sunday morning.

Police and firefighters responded to Dolomiti Court in Elfrida, just south of Rymal Road, shortly before 2 a.m.

Staff Sgt. Steve Bereziuk said a Mercedes parked in front of a home was found ablaze. Firefighters quickly doused it.

No other information was available as of Sunday afternoon.

Bereziuk said the incident is considered suspicious and remains under investigation.
