GREEN FOREST, Ark. (KY3) - Students in Green Forest, Arkansas, are returning on Tuesday, and the superintendent says this is the year for change in the district.
The Green Forest School District has secured $9.9 million from the state to construct a new high school. David Glimore, superintendent at Green Forest School District, says the district needs just over $15 million more to fund the project fully.
“The state gave us right at $10 million for the project,” Gilmore said. “We don’t want to see that go away. We want to go ahead and get this project done now because if you kick the can down the road, it just costs more later on.”
