After months of being sidelined due to injury, Hunter Greene is set to make his return to the mound at Great American Ball Park this week.

Reds manager Terry Francona confirmed to MLB.com on Sunday that the star pitcher is set to return as a starter on Wednesday during the Reds' final series game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Advertisement

Greene has been sidelined with a groin injury for over two months and has not played in a game since he successfully led the Reds to victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on June 3.

The 26-year-old was first drafted by the team in 2017, where he spent several years in the minor leagues on the Reds' affiliate teams. However, Greene has been a regular member of the Reds' pitching rotation since 2022.
