REEDSVILLE, W.Va. (WBOY) — Today marked the beginning of a week of fun in Preston County as the Valley District Fair kicked off with the Ron Smith Memorial Car Show at the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Several cars made the trip to the fair for display from classic roadsters to custom builds and even a fire engine from the 1920s.

According to fair organizers, a handful of the cars that were being shown off were worked on by late Reedsville volunteer firefighter Ron Smith.

"I think it's very special,” said Smith’s daughter, Natalie Jennings. “And it's just I mean, this was his love. His love was cars. He liked to paint them. He loved to go to car shows, too.
