FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A vehicle accident has caused a traffic slowdown on I-79 south in Marion County.

According to the Marion County 911 log the accident, reported as a vehicle accident with injuries, occurred just before 3 p.m. on Sunday.

An official with the Marion County 911 Center told 12 News that it was a truck with a trailer carrying hay bales, and that I-79 south is closed at the 130 mile marker. They also confirmed that there were no injuries.

The Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Marion County Rescue Squad, the White Hall Police Department and West Virginia State Police all responded to the scene.
