LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — At this point in the season, we are no strangers to the summer heat here in Central Arkansas.

In fact, any opportunity for a reprieve is worth mentioning. Over the next few days, we'll get minimal relief, but it will be nothing compared to what we saw at the beginning of the month.

What should I expect as the week begins? 

As we start the week, our upper-level ridge (or heat dome) will move west, and an upper-level trough (or disturbance) will pass through the central United States. This disturbance will generally stay north of the Natural State, but we'll see the opportunity for spotty to scattered showers and storms.
