The National Weather Service issued an extreme heat watch at 11:35 p.m. on Sunday valid for Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Oregon Lower Treasure Valley as well as Harney and Malheur counties.
The weather service states, "Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 103 degrees possible."
"Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities," comments the weather service.
