MESA, Ariz. — A suspect who was shot by Mesa Police is in surgery, but is expected to survive, police said. The shooting closed US 60 in Mesa between Loop 101 and Country Club Road, and the highway will remain closed for several hours while police investigate.
Mesa police officers responded to an apartment complex around 4 p.m. on Sunday, where a suspect was allegedly threatening with a knife.
The caller told police a male suspect kicked in a door, grabbed a kitchen knife, and attempted to force a woman into a vehicle.
