COLLIN COUNTY, Texas — An adult man was shot Sunday night at Collin College’s Spring Creek Campus in Plano, according to police.
Officers responded to the 5800 block of Jupiter Road around 8:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting, police said.
Plano PD said an adult male suspect shot another man at least two times on campus before fleeing toward nearby student apartments. Officers located and detained the suspect 20 minutes after arriving.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said he is in stable condition.
According to police, the shooting caused a temporary lockdown on campus.
Police have not yet said what led up to the shooting.
