LOGAN — Fire crews have achieved full containment on the Perry Fire, which burned 5.2 acres southwest of Mantua Reservoir. The fire was first reported Thursday evening.
According to the Ogden Ranger District, the fire was 100% contained as of Sunday. A 20-person crew and a helicopter had been on scene, working to improve firelines and extinguish hotspots.
No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.
The fire burned in mixed conifer, and its cause is still under investigation. For public safety, authorities had previously asked people to avoid using the Willard Peak road to Inspiration Point while crews were working.
