2 people shot, including 1-year-old child, at home in Atlanta's Westview neighborhood

ATLANTA — A child and a woman were injured in a shooting early Saturday morning at a home on Olympian Way SW, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene in the 1600 block of Olympian Way SW just after midnight. When they arrived, they found a 1-year-old child and a 64-year-old woman who had been shot.

Police said both victims were alert, conscious, and breathing when first responders arrived. They were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

Investigators have not released details on what led up to the shooting, whether a suspect has been identified, or if any arrests have been made.
