CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The world’s longest yard sale once again rolled through the Scenic City this past weekend.
The 127 Yard Sale, stretching nearly 700 miles from Addison, Michigan, to Gadsden, Alabama, brought thousands of shoppers to the Chattanooga area for four days of bargain hunting.
Vendors lined U.S. 127 and the Lookout Mountain Parkway, selling everything from vintage furniture and collectibles to clothes, toys, and handmade goods.
In Chattanooga, major stops like the White Elephant Lot downtown and Lone Oak Community Center on Signal Mountain were packed with visitors.
The sale began in 1987 as a way to promote small towns along the route, and has since grown into a nationally recognized tradition.
