FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. must enjoy scoring touchdowns. He does it so quickly.

A breakout run on the opening play of Thursday's live tackle period and the 62-yarder on the second play of Saturday's scrimmage do plenty to prove it.

"He seems like he can run forever," Coach Sam Pittman said.

There's more.

"He's fast," Pittman said. "He can break tackles. He seems to set up blocks well. ... He can make you miss. He's just an all-around guy."

Those combined attributes lean toward satiating the running back room for the University of Arkansas, tasked with finding its new lead rusher in the offseason. Ja'Quinden Jackson led the Razorbacks in 2024 with 15 rushing touchdowns -- their most since 2015 -- and 790 net rushing yards.
