Nuneaton's hospital has warned that it's A&E is already 'very busy' as a new heath alert comes into place. Due to the forecast soaring temperatures, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in partnership with the Met Office is set to issue a 54 hour long yellow heat health warning from 12noon today (August 11).
It lasts until 6pm on Wednesday (August 13) and warns that rising temperatures, which are set to peak to 32C across Nuneaton and Bedworth , are likely to impact health services. The George Eliot Hospital has confirmed to CoventryLive that its A&E department is already 'very busy'.
With the looming heat alert as well as soaring heat, the 'Eliot has said that it is 'closely monitoring' the situation. It has already said that waiting times are set to be longer.
