Patients at University Hospital Coventry are alleged to have received 'unnecessary' chemotherapy drugs as a major investigation has been launched. Many were under the supervision of the now-retired Professor Ian Brown.

People were routinely prescribed the chemotherapy drug Temozolomide for prolonged periods, contrary to scientific guidelines. Some who have come forward reported devastating side effects, one of whom is 33-year-old Becky Jones.

Becky had a history of suffering from migraines, but her symptoms worsened in 2012 when she was 21 years old. Scans showed a small lesion on her brain, and a biopsy was performed under the UHCW NHS Trust .
