AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A 26-year-old woman will be sentenced Monday in Summit County Court of Common Pleas, for her role in the murder of an Akron mother in 2024.

On May 23, Corvette Pope pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and obstructing justice for the death of Paige Calich.

Calich, 24, was found by officers at a home on Socrates Place with a gunshot wound to the chest. Her three-year-old son was not injured.

Corvette’s brother, Denzel Pope, 20, was found guilty by a jury on Aug. 8 on the charges of murder, felonious assault, and having weapons under disability.

Denzel will be sentenced Aug. 15.
