FC Koln director Thomas Kessler has warned the club can not do everything they wish to in this summer’s transfer market, amid interest in Middlesbrough ’s Rav van den Berg.
Koln are one of a number of clubs interested in Van den Berg this summer. The uncertainty surrounding his future resulted in Boro head coach Rob Edwards excluding him from Boro’s squad on Saturday, as they kicked off the new season with a 1-0 victory over Swansea City.
The centre-back is understood to have made clear that he wishes to leave this summer, and is said to be particularly keen on the switch to the Bundesliga side. However, as yet, no club has met Boro’s valuation, with the club standing firm as the Dutchman has two years remaining on his current deal.
