DOOR COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Many people are waking up Monday morning still without power and a lot to clean up after this weekend’s storm.

As of 6 a.m., more than 850 homes and businesses were reported without power in Door County. Wisconsin Public Service says it’s restored electricity to 25,000 customers across its coverage area since Saturday’s storms.

Parts of the peninsula are still closed off due to damage and power outages. Cana Island is one of those areas. The island is closed until further notice because of large, hanging branches creating a dangerous situation. The island is still without power, and officials are asking people to stay away until it’s safe.
