GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – All schools in Greenville County are back in class Monday. Some students, faculty and staff are in a brand-new space for the new school year.
Teachers at Reedy Laurel Elementary School told 7NEWS they began working out of the building just a couple weeks ago. Reedy Laurel Elementary is the newest school in the Greenville County School District. It is welcoming students in K4 through second grade this year, according to school officials.
Principal Matt Critell said they’ll see around 240 students in their first year, but will serve 750 students once they’ve fully expanded. Staff said their focus is teaching students the importance of science and being good stewards of the environment.
