Vermont State Police are investigating after a Burlington police officer shot at the driver of a motor vehicle early Sunday morning.
The shooting followed a report of a disturbance around 12:40 a.m. Sunday. Responding Burlington officers were searching for a vehicle in connection with the initial call and found it in the area of 16 Prospect Hill.

During the interaction, one Burlington police officer fired his duty weapon. No injuries were reported.
The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation by members of the state police Major Crime Unit.
