BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Investigators are working to determine what caused a fire at a vacant house on Monday morning, Aug. 11.

It happened around 5:20 a.m. on Victory Drive near W. Brookstown Drive.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, firefighters arrived on the scene to find heavy fire coming from the side and back of the home.

Crews contained most of the fire damage to the back of the vacant house, according to the fire department.

The fire’s cause is under investigation.
