Massachusetts State Police's leader was asked about the persistent online rumors about the possibility of a serial killer in New England, with the head of the agency saying there's not evidence at this time of one — but he is "tracking" the cases that have led to the speculation.
The comments by MSP Col. Geoffrey Noble were published Sunday in the Boston Herald , which sat down with the top state trooper recently at MSP headquarters in Framingham.

“As a former homicide detective, certainly I am tracking the news of these tragic deaths,” Noble told the Herald. “There is no evidence to indicate that there is a serial killer at the moment.”
