LYNDHURST, Ohio (WJW) - Police detectives in Lyndhurst are investigating after a man was found lying on the floor of a garage, suffering from what appeared to be several gunshot wounds.

According to a press release, a 911 call reporting the man had been shot came in at about 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, from a home in the 5000 block of South Sedgewick Road.

The victim was immediately transported to Hillcrest Hospital in critical condition, where he later died as a result of his injuries, said police.

"Preliminary information indicates that the victim was shot by a known male acquaintance following an argument that occurred in the victim's garage," stated a press release.

Police said the suspect immediately fled the scene in a vehicle. He was later arrested in the Cincinnati area.
