ATLANTA — Employees at the Atlanta campus of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be working remote Monday following the shooting incident Friday in which an officer lost his life in the line of duty and CDC workers were left deeply rattled .

It's not yet clear when the campus might reopen. A message sent to staff said security and safety assessments are ongoing.

In addition to having dozens of bullet holes in the windows, 11Alive has learned that a number of doors and locks at the CDC need to be replaced after police kicked them down trying to clear rooms to ensure everyone inside was safe.
