Chris Baker graduated high school waiting to be a police officer. He always had an interest in law enforcement, but the prospect of losing his free time in his twenties was a hard sell. So, after talking with his pastor, he became a Boulder County dispatcher.

When you call 911, depending on where you live, Baker might be the one to pick up the phone. A roughly 13-year veteran of the occupation, Baker has not looked back since becoming a dispatcher.

He was born and raised in Colorado. Between Westminster, Northglenn and Thornton, this is where he calls home. In 2015, Baker moved to the Firestone area when he and his family were looking to buy their first home — houses were more affordable out in Firestone.
