FREDERIC, Wis. (Northern News Now) - A 70-year-old Minnesota man died Sunday afternoon after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck pulling a trailer in Polk County.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the crash happened around 3:13 p.m. on County Highway I, near the intersection of 90th Street, close to Frederic.
Authorities said 70-year-old Rodney Bodell, from Rush City, Minnesota, had turned south onto County Highway I from 90th Street when a northbound truck approached a curve. The trailer towed by the pickup truck tipped over and crossed into the southbound lane, striking Bodell.
Bodell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver was not injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
