PHOENIX — A teenager is dead after a shooting at a Phoenix motel Sunday night, Phoenix police said.
Officers were called to a shooting at a motel near 27th Avenue and Union Hills Drive around 10:45 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived on scene, they found a male teen on the ground with a gunshot wound.
Emergency crews responded and determined the teen died at the scene. Authorities said they detained a man at the scene who is believed to be involved in the shooting. The identity of the teen was not released.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
