CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two people standing outside of their vehicle were injured during a crash on Highway 19E in Carter County.
According to a preliminary crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the crash occurred on Sunday around 9:25 p.m.
A 2005 Ford Focus had been heading south on the highway when it hit a deer. The THP stated the Ford stopped in the right lane but then moved to the shoulder of the road.
The driver of a 2013 Honda CR-V stopped to check on the Ford in the middle of the roadway, according to the crash report.
The driver and passenger of the Honda both reportedly got out of the vehicle. The highway patrol reported the driver of the Honda was standing at the rear passenger side of the Honda, and the passenger was standing across the road on the sho
