CLEVELAND, Ohio – Belgian Chocolate Moments Smurfs Popping Milk Chocolates with Cookies have been recalled because the product contains undeclared wheat.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat run the risk of life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the products.

The products, from Neuhaus Chocolates NV of Vlezenbeek, were distributed between 21/07/2025 (July 21) and 04/08/2025 (Aug. 4) by Neuhaus stores in New York, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C., as well as Neuhaus’ online store.

The recall affects batch numbers 80108690 and 80108763. Both have best-before dates of 13/01/2026 (Jan. 13).

Consumers who are allergic or intolerant to wheat (gluten) should not consume the product. The chocolates can be returned to point of sale.
