ALLEN PARK -- It’s only the second week of the NFL preseason, and the Detroit Lions are already feeling the effects of the injury bug, particularly along the offensive line.

On Sunday, the Lions placed Justin Herron and Colby Sorsdal on the reserve/injured list, ending their 2025 seasons. In corresponding moves, the team signed offensive linemen Gunner Britton and Keaton Sutherland.

Speaking to reporters Monday, head coach Dan Campbell provided an update on the offensive line depth. He confirmed the status of those players, revealed another injury not previously reported, and noted several key returns to practice.

“Well, I’ve got this list here,” Campbell said. “So, obviously, (Justin) Herron’s out, (Colby) Sorsdal’s out, (Trystan) Colon is out for a while. Had an elbow (injury) there.
