The Detroit Pistons are adding more experience and defensive help as they’re reportedly finalizing a one-year deal with 6-foot-5 wing Javonte Green.

The 32-year-old is coming off his sixth season in the NBA, averaging 5.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and one steal per game across 68 appearances split between the New Orleans Pelicans and Cleveland Cavaliers.

After going undrafted in 2015 out of Radford, Green went abroad spending time in Spain, Italy and Germany before getting a 2019 invite to NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics.

His performance at Summer League earned him a two-year contract with a partially guaranteed salary for the first season.
