Jennifer Aniston is opening up about the loss of her former Friends co-star Matthew Perry as the second anniversary of his death approaches.
In a wide-ranging new interview with Vanity Fair , Jennifer reflected on the addiction issues her late friend spoke to in his lifetime, and the support that she and the rest of the cast tried to provide him with.
“We did everything we could when we could,” she explained. “But it almost felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle with that disease was a really hard one for him to fight.”
She continued: “As hard as it was for all of us and for the fans, there’s a part of me that thinks this is better. I’m glad he’s out of that pain.”
