BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Benton County Water has issued a boil order for parts of the county following a water main break.

A news release said that the Arkansas Department of Health said the boil order was for the east side of State Highway 62 and all of Landers Road on the west side of State Highway 62.

The ADH said the order was issued because of a possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of a loss in normal system pressure from the water main break.

Benton County Water said the boil order will affect around 1,100 customers. Benton County Water District #1 in Avoca is impacted following a 12-inch break in the main line, the department said.
