A Warwickshire Police officer arrested on suspicion of rape has been suspended. CoventryLive reported that the police sergeant, who has not been named, was arrested on suspicion of rape last month.
The officer was taken into custody and questioned in relation to the alleged incident reported on July 20. He was then released on bail and moved to a non-public facing role.
Now the force has confirmed that the sergeant has now been suspended. Investigations are ongoing.
