Coventry City are back in action on Tuesday night (7.45pm) when they take on relegated Luton Town in the Carabao Cup.

The Hatters have started their new season off strongly with back-to-back wins as they start life back in League One following last season’s final day drop out of the Championship.

For Frank Lampard, the game is likely to be used to get important match minutes into players who missed out in the weekend’s goalless draw with Hull , with the head coach also likely to be keen to rest a number of his personnel who are recovering from knocks and niggles picked up over the pre-season programme.

That could include the likes of Jack Rudoni who has been nursing back from a calf strain and winger Ephron Mason-Clark who played at the weekend despite having a sore groin in the bui
