Plans for a new Coventry Smyths have taken a major step forward. Signs will soon be installed at the second city branch in Longford .
Smyths Toys Superstores will be opening at Arena Shopping Park just before Christmas . It will be taking over Decathlon, which closed in June.
Work is underway to transform the building, which is based near Currys and Next. Bosses have also lodged plans for new illuminated signs to be installed ahead of the opening.
Seven new signs have been proposed. The company say they will be 'well integrated' with the existing shopfronts and contribute positively to the 'visual uniformity' of Arena Shopping Park .
