OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - There are several new road projects in the Omaha metro starting up Monday that will impact drivers.

There is a ramp closure from I-480 northbound to Harney Street that started at 9 a.m. Monday.

Officials expect the ramp will be closed into mid October as work continues to replace the bridge over the interstate, as well as work on the Omaha streetcar.

First Alert 6 also has an update to ongoing construction on 72nd Street between Western Avenue and Maple Street.

“Varying lane restrictions continue with no clear time frame for how long it will last. However, it will still be in place today and tomorrow as Creighton Prep students return to the classroom. Expect heavy delays in the area,” Jaret Lansford says in the Traffic blog.
