Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Service (LFES) says nobody was hurt in a fire on the north side, but a fourplex unit was damaged.
It took place along the 500 block of 9 Avenue North on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
Firefighters from four stations arrived just after 4:00 p.m., saying there was heavy smoke and flames coming from a single unit.
All of the building’s occupants were able to evacuate safely, and crews extinguished the blaze before it could spread elsewhere in the complex.
LFES describes the damage as “severe” and states that it remains under investigation.
The fire department is asking the public to test their smoke alarms every month to ensure they are in proper working condition.
