LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - A Lawrence woman was injured over the weekend after she and her dogs were attacked while taking a walk.
The Lawrence Police Department was called to Centennial Skate Park just before 2 p.m. on August 10.
Officers arrived to find a man pinning the aggressor dog to the ground. They used a leash to make a makeshift muzzle for the dog while other officers attended to the injured woman.
Investigators learned she was walking her three dogs when an unleashed dog ran up and attacked her Chihuahua. She tried to fight the dog off but suffered a severe bite to her arm, a broken finger and other minor injuries. The Chihuahua did not survive.
Paramedics brought the woman to the hospital with one of her dogs at her side. Her third dog ran away during the attack but was found
