CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWQC) - Police are searching for a man after officials say he didn’t return to a work release facility.

According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, Joshua Michael Bergen, 31, was admitted to a work release facility on July 29.

Officials said on Aug. 6, Bergen did not report back to the facility.

The Department of Corrections said Bergen is convicted of third-degree burglary, willful injury causing serious injury and willful injury causing bodily injury in Louisa County.

Bergen was also convicted in Des Moines County on two counts of escape, officials said.

Bergen is described by officials as Hispanic, 5-foot-7 and 168 pounds.
