STEPHENSON COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) - The Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office shares new details following a weekend crash that claimed the lives of two drivers .

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. Aug. 9, deputies were called to a head-on collision on Illinois Route 26 near Oneco Road in rural Stephenson County.

Stephenson County Sheriff Steve Stovall says a Nissan Altima, driven by 30-year-old Rolando Ico-Choc, crossed the center line, hitting a Ford Edge driven by 61-year-old Darcy Connolly-Brunner . Both drivers were killed in the crash. No other occupants were in either vehicle.

Sheriff Stovall said they could not find an address for Ico-Choc, although believe he is a Guatemalan national who used to live in Freeport. Brunner is a longtime Stephenson County resident and mother of four, includin
