SHREVEPORT, La. -- For the second time in less than two weeks a Shreveport police officer has been arrested for DWI.

A news release today said the Shreveport Police Department was notified Sunday that Sgt. Justin White was involved in an alleged DWI incident in Harrison County, Texas.

White was off-duty and in a personal vehicle when he was arrested by Texas Parks & Wildlife. He posted a $2,000 bond.

Police Chief Wayne Smith placed White on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

White has been employed with SPD since 2004.

"The department holds its officers to the highest standards of conduct, both on and off duty," Cpl. Chris Bordelon said Monday in a news release.
