A woman allegedly abducted along with two of her children by a man who police say later robbed a Louisville bank suffered non-life threatening injuries and is now recovering, Louisville Metro Police officials said during an Aug. 11 news conference.

LMPD Detective Ashley Schaefer said investigators believe the woman, who has not been identified, was stabbed sometime after the man, Armond Langford, 32, allegedly broke into her home in the 100 block of South Whipps Mill Road Aug. 8 and forced her to drive to a PNC Bank location on Shelbyville Road , where he took an undisclosed amount of money. The two children were not injured.

Following the robbery, police say Langford ran from the scene, but he was arrested later that day when Lyndon Police responded to a tip.
